Had a great day with your jigs. I landed an 8lb winter run, and a 36in summer run buck (my biggest of the year) also lost another another summer run. Those jigs look awesome when they are wet! Your jigs are working great, thats 8 for 10 the last 4 times out. I'll keep using them until they fail me! Jim Grimes Bellevue. WA .
| A quick fishing trip to the Olympic Pennisula this past weekend yeilded a 35" winter buck on your two tone pink jig. He slammed the 1/4 oz jig in 5 ft of ultra clear water.. Hmmm.... Big Jigs = Big Fish! I'm all for it! I also landed a 5lb buck on pink in a tailout (rubber worm color) Thanks again guys.. My confidence with your jigs is increasing with every fish. | I have been fishing for steelhead and salmon for over 20 years and trout fishing all my life. I have always used corkys and yarn, or spinners or spoons for steelhead. I had never used jigs until last year, and then I didn't know how to use them, so bought Dave Vedder and Drew Harthorn's Jig fishing book. I only fished with jigs a couple of times last year and never for very long. No confidence!! Then I heard about your jigs, and thought I would try them, and nothing else this winter. So I really do appreciate your tips. Now that I have actually caught something with them, I have more confidence Marc Oregon. |
Hey! If I told you how successful I have been with your jigs lately, you wouldn't get any sleep, as the demand would be too great! Example- last outting two weeks ago--4 silver salmon--4 adult steelhead--2 jacks (one salmon, one steelhead) and the largest cutthroat I have ever caught! Was using a different color than usual to start with, but it was still deadly--then switched to my favorite color--next two cast-- FISH ON!! Am I having fun or not?--I have not had a fishless day when I use your jigs. G . Craig Camano Island.WA.
I have been fishing jigs for a few years now, so I left work early, and headed to a local spot. After fishing till almost dark, and having multiple hook ups, we're talking approaching double digits here. These jigs Rock!!! I just need to work on improving my choice of lines, as I only landed one fish... ohh thats why they call those nates... Brutes, I hate when fish laugh at me... Great jigs Fuzzy and Angel.. Thanks again Mike J Olympia, WA
Thanks Silent Approach, my order was perfect. Took my shipment of jigs to my favorite river. First cast, FISH-ON!!! Landed a beauty of a Brat Hen about 10lbs, 4 casts later another bobber down, this time a 12 lb Buck, released. Both on Classic Pink -&- White Marabou 1/4oz. Went down river to a new spot, First Cast Fish-On!!! nice Nate Hen, this gal tore me up, after a great fight, she was released to fight again, 10 mins later another Hook-Up, this one a Buck, released also both of these were hooked on the Osprey. Man this jig in the water has the profile of a sandshrimp for sure. Thats less than 2 dozen casts and 4 fish! Home for breakfast. Great product, Great Service! Jack H Tacoma, WA
I have used jigs as part of my arsenal for steelhead for the last 7 or 8 years. I have always loved the effectiveness of jigs, especially in low water conditions, but have not fished them much for natives because I had a hard time finding 1/4 oz jigs in the colors I wanted with a strong hook. Not anymore, I now have Silent Approach jigs in my vest!! These are by far the best jigs I have ever fished, whether I am using the classic marabou or one of the grub style!! I have had great success with these jigs, for example this past weekend ( March 3 and 4) I was fishing the low flows and managed to hook two fish each day in about 4 hours of fishing time per day. In the past I have always had a hard time finding the color combinations that I wanted, but when I opened the package, the jigs looked even better than I had imagined!!! Evidence of their attention to detail Thankyou Silent Approach.. the steelies are in trouble! Shane Johnson Newcastle, Wa.
I must admit that I am a dyed-in-the-wool drift fisher when targeting Steelhead. I have tried using other commercially avaliable jigs, but with very little success. Recently, I used an Orange and White Silent Approach Classic Marabou jig to catch-and-release my largest hen to date at 40.5 x 20 on the Olympic Peninsula. I am sold on the quality and effectiveness of your jigs. I have enclosed a picture of this truely magnificent Steelhead, a fish of a lifetime. Yesterday (03/20/01) was another good day on the Olympic Peninsula for my fishing partner and myself, highlighted by a 38 x 19 buck. Both fish were fresh chrome bright specimens hooked on rags and sandshrimp. But, the most memorable fish of the day was a chrome 10lb buck hooked on a Cerise and White Silent Approach Classic Marabou jig. This fish jumped four times before being landed. From now on our drift boat will always have a float rod rigged with a Silent Approach Jig. Edmund Enomoto aka Hohwaiian Seattle, Wa
I finally got to the Post Office yesterday, and picked up my order of jigs. As advertised, the jigs look great! I was even more impressed with the action they have in the water. I fished the Siltz yesterday for a couple of hours, hooked two bright winter B-runs on pink head/marabou in gin clear water. Most guys think that the run is over, so I had the river to myself. Today I hooked a fresh 12lb summer buck on the S. Santiam on pink head/pink & orange marabou in high flows, when nobody else was hooking a thing. The corky and yarn hometown hole hogs were curious to say the least! Three more guys on the river know the name "Silent Approach Jigs" More Reports Later Jim E, Oregon.
I just wanted to thank you for being on the river yesterday and selling me some of your jigs. They were Fantastic!!! I hooked 6 fish and landed 4 in 3 hours. I did not see another person hook any fish while I was there. People were looking real close at what I was using. They were casting in the same place using jigs, but with no luck. I am convinced luck had nothing to do with hooking fish, it had to have been your jigs. I went to the Zipperlip for 4 days, I hooked more steelhead in 4 days than I have ever hooked in one full year of steelheading. On Saturday, of our 4 day trip, we decided decided to keep track of our fish, we hooked 20 fish, and landed 13!!!! I believe that confidence is 90% of the reason I catch fish. Using your jigs has increased my confidence in fishing (catching) more than I ever could have imagined!!! Thanks again!!! Thor Larson Bellevue.WA.
Wow! I have just started using the jigs you sent and have put seven fish on the boat. I am using them with my clients, and am able to get them fishing in water that was next to impossible to fish productively any other way. Dan Kuyten La Center, WA. Tori Masu Guide Service.
I'm sure glad I found out about Silent Approach Jigs ! I have been fishing for steelies on and off for the last 20 years, I have never seen anything work anywhere as effective as your jigs. Since the beginning of the season (2002) I have hooked 18 steelies, and landed 16! quite a feat for an old guy like me. I'll certainly be ordering your jigs from now on! Bob Clarke Snohomish, WA.
Just recieved my latest order, as usual the jigs are exceptional. Easily the best I've found. I use your jigs for trout and bass in lakes and streams around here, they work great. Joe Hurst Salt Lake City, Utah.
